早年受到西式訓練，強調動作、速度，但是跳西方的舞，就如穿著別人的衣服。無垢的身體美學強調心靈的穩定、肌肉的放鬆，於是她發展出了屬於東方的舞蹈衣著，並遠征海外舉辦肢體動作工作坊。「有了自己的身體語言，別人才能和你平等交流，」林麗珍說。

「我感覺是沈澱下來了，」她說生命中的抉擇很重要，「當你決定了要去做一件事情，不管是什麼事，都可以從這件簡單的事情中理出一個脈絡，」「我已經累積了很長一段時間，創作的靈感都已經醞釀開來。就像儲水已經滿了，就順勢流了下來。」而專屬於無垢的舞蹈語言「空緩美學」：定、靜、鬆、沉、緩、勁，及獨樹一格的舞步「緩行」就此發展開來。「回歸身體的本質最困難，」當時林麗珍知道這樣的舞蹈、如此緩慢的舞步，在臺灣是沒有市場的，「生命總該冒個險，才會知道這空間有多少人跟你一樣。」她微笑著說道。

人的力量真的很有限，先不說大自然的威力，時間空間就只得如此，所以林麗珍說「當你把自己放到很大，你就會很痛苦；即使你再強再有能力，還是會孤獨。」因此，修練過後，像泥土一樣，一層一層揭開自己的面紗，「把自己放到最少，旁邊的東西才有空間進來」。

Lee-Chen Lin, who founded the repertory company to present large-scale performance works depicting the spirit and culture of her native island Taiwan. Inspired by local religious rituals and ceremonial rites, which celebrate the rhythms of nature and Man's place in it, the art of the Legend Lin Dance Theatre blends an immersive visual aesthetics with choreographies that underlie new meaning to the concept of “poetry in motion.”
