集結各種藝術家的不同語彙，談小人物的故事

2009年成立，致力將台灣土地故事，以不同的戲劇形式記錄下來。2016年起，劇團以互動、遊戲等方式，開啟「母語寶寶聽故事計劃」，致力於母語戲劇推廣，希望將戲劇與台灣文化的種籽傳承給孩子，讓孩子能一出生，就能接受到台灣劇場的美麗之處。2017年開始於國家人權博物館為孩子說人權故事，包括《愛唱歌的小熊》、《說好不要哭》、《綠島人權燈塔》、《希望小提琴》、《杜鵑山的迴旋曲》

2021全新製作《勥姆仔欲起行》（khiàng姆--仔beh起行）
改編自清文的小說《虱目仔 ê 滋味》篇章《khiàng姆--仔beh起行》，為 #經典的台語女性文學作品。我們希望借由一個帶有魔幻、奇想的故事，帶出傳統價值與現實的衝擊，不僅讓人感受戲劇中角色的魔幻感，也能為戲中複雜的人性，發出會心一笑

由於夾腳拖又名「人字拖」，其中帶個「人」，所以間接表態其作品多是以小人物作為發想，土地、性別、弱勢、社會角落，劇團期許透過戲劇來記錄屬於人們的故事，並帶給觀眾更深厚的思考空間。

二Ｏ一六年開始，吳易蓁帶領一群平均不到三十歲的年輕人，推出「母語寶寶說故事」系列的活動，跳脫劇團既有的舞台劇形式，反而以面對面說故事的管道，讓孩子們趁早接觸自己的母語，也就是台語。

不只有母語，多元議題共生並存

夾腳拖劇團也有關注到性別平權議題，在台灣被熱烈討論，所以他們乾脆邀請扮裝皇后，到共生音樂節的攤位現場講述歷史故事。「大家聽到的是白色恐怖的故事，但你眼前看到的會是一位皇后裝扮的生理男性在敘述另個議題，你便能去感受到這個世界的多元層面。」透過這些軟性巧思，群眾可以從中看見劇團強烈的理念，進而對自己所處的社會產生覺醒的意識。

「夾腳拖」希望任何議題都能透過這裡扮演和訴說出來，並且傳達「我們其實沒有不一樣，肩並肩打拼共同的未來」這個核心價值。

「用台語說故事給囝仔聽」這個發想的初衷，其實很單純。因為吳易蓁在當媽媽之後，常帶孩子去看表演，卻找不到給孩子看的台語表演；學戲劇出身的吳易蓁於是自己編劇、導演、寫作「乾脆自己來」。

夾腳拖劇團定期推出「母語寶寶聽故事」，打造一個專為孩子創立的全台語故事劇場，100%講台語，近距離的表演，讓大小朋友在故事遊戲中，發現台灣文化與母語之美。此外，他們也去尋找台灣在地的故事，不定期推出「台灣故事劇場」。

嘗試將台灣的歷史重要時刻，以光影呈現，《慢慢》將以生活物件、自然物質加入燈光元素，重新詮釋郭雪湖《南街殷賑》、陳澄波《中央噴水池》、黃榮燦《恐怖的檢查》、歐陽文《光明在望》。夾腳拖劇團這次找來戲劇、音樂工作者何安妘、曾彥婷、蔣韜、錢君銜共通創作，結合多元藝術工作者，要以藝術來紀錄民主歷程。

「以藝術撐民主是《慢慢》的最大目標，更希望台灣的歷史，能夠鼓舞更多嚮往民主自由的人民。」吳易蓁表示，作為亞洲華語地區唯一的民主國家，台灣的自由民主，是台灣人共同的資產，希望更多過國內外民眾，看見這些動人的歷史時刻，並發展更多藝術與歷史結合的可能性。
