台灣島上最難到達的書店、一間位於長濱的書店、長濱的第一家書店，接受人們至此顧店換宿，分享並交換生命的經驗

地址：台東縣長濱鄉長濱村22-1號（定位會找不到，定位找「哈地喇小吃」，書店在他對面。）
營業時間：13:00-19:00（盡量不公休）

現行的「書粥模式」，除了高耀威每個月10天的留守，其餘時間都由來自各地自動報名的店長輪流接手，每一任店長至少以7天為單位，開店至今，各任店長不僅都順利下莊，也都分享出自己獨一無二的長濱故事，有人貢獻藍曬技術，有的被鄰居四處帶去吃飯、上瑜伽課，開店時間沒有硬性規定，自已想要休息，晚點開，或早點走，甚至今天很想要出去玩，在門口貼張字條就行了。曾經有從嘉義遠道而來的客人，因為沒辦法等店長三小時而聯絡上高耀威，「雖然我們不認識，但既然你都特別來了，我應該可以相信你吧！」他告訴客人鑰匙放哪，讓他自己開門進來。客人挑好書，留下書錢和一張紙條，「謝謝你對我的信任。」

「閱讀就像是心的按摩，心會感到鬆開了一點，也會找到新的啟發。」在網路書店盛行的現在，他相信一間實體書店的價值仍然無可取代，透過選書、閱讀的觸感、文字的份量、段落章節的安排以及編排的節奏感，都會展現網路上所沒有的氣氛和閱讀經驗。

「書粥」所創造的價值除了位置特殊、體驗獨到外，更重要的是店的開放性，讓這個空間成為公眾都能夠參與的項目，「來顧店的不只是我的朋友，也有完全不認識的人，每個人帶著不同的人生經驗，和這個社區產生交流互動，當中各自得到不同的答案。不只是書店，鄰居也加入這場遊戲，大家開始會期待門口的那塊黑版上面會寫著哪一個將要來顧店的店長名字。」

推開門，是一個溫潤清透的木質空間，一整面書牆和一面小書櫃，輕盈的陳列中隱隱透露生活感，包括琥珀玻璃盤盛裝風乾橘子皮，輕輕點亮空間的溫度；中間擺了一張兩人沙發，坐下來就面著書牆安靜看書，另一邊是童書區，剛好遇到來玩的鄰居小孩，正在翻閱他的故事書；店長桌就在正對著門的一角，後面還連通一個小陽台，店裡的光線明亮。書粥裡頭還有一些掛報、手作明信片、海報、串連台東花蓮的藝文資訊等，如果閱讀對你而言是很重要的生活環節，「書粥」會是一個令你有感的角落。

喜愛旅行的高耀威興起了在這開一家書店的念頭，完全沒有想要帶動閱讀風氣的想法，純粹只是要「沉澱自己的心」。一眼就看到底的小店面，有新書、二手書、免費閱讀的漫畫書三區，長濱唯一的書店在此開張。回台南時，交給換宿的店長經營，他們可以在店裡販售自己的商品，營收自取，但大多數店長都是和客人分享專長。有人「用故事交換房子」，買書的人講故事，就可以得到店長的木作小房子；也有買書送似繪顏、買新書送米等。這裡還有一項特別的托兒服務，村子裡隔代教養的小孩多，阿公阿嬤在忙時，免費漫畫區便能讓他們流連忘返。

這是一間不容易抵達的書店，台南正興街再生推手高耀威，遠道而來開了台東長濱街上第一家書店，去試著找到一些新的平衡，更攪動了更多故事在這發生。「這邊的人雖然說住在遠離都市的地方，但也許更有時間去追求知識，都市的人沉浸在滿滿的八卦新聞之中，而這邊的人卻可以選擇自己想看什麼。」高耀威認為，長濱的知識分子對於知識的慾望不會亞於都市，有一次來了位種玫瑰花的農夫，進門後出乎意料的挑了一本講全球趨勢且十分厚重的書；店裡也時不時會有居民拜託高耀威幫忙訂書，書店的出現，讓居民能夠有新的管道去接觸過去較沒有機會認識的事物，對於城鄉差距的消除，雖不能一步到位，卻也是一個默默改變的方法。

每個人帶著不同的生命歷程而來，書店成為他們人生暫時的轉場，我在顧店換宿生活須知中的最開頭寫下這段話：「以下是一些我的習慣，提供參考，但到了書店，你就是自己的主人，若有不符合自己的習慣之處，可依照自己的方式，總之，就是照顧好自己，遇到問題盡量試著自己想辦法，好好生活，好好活下去，放輕鬆。」關照自己的內心是我每日的練習，也希望書店對這些店長們，也能是個借鏡，不是來幫我顧店，是給自己開一扇窗。
