大家常在說的，台南的巷弄總有探索不完的驚奇，的確是的。那天下午走進沒有掛上招牌的書店「憫堂」，空氣中飄著線香的木質氣味，偏黃的燈光讓人剛好可以專注於架上的紙本。

獨立書店耐人尋味的是，從書本可以連結到店主的喜好與巧思，而憫堂的店主懷哲熟知的不只是自身喜好，還有每一本書與印刷品的歷史。

我們坐在櫃檯前的板凳上，喝著懷哲泡的茶，聊著店內他的寶物們的故事，感受他對書本的珍惜，還有對歷史的敬意。
