Chia-Chen HSIEH

Taught visual arts curriculum in junior high school for 27 years after she graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University in 1986. She acquired bamboo weaving craft in 1999 when she joined a preservation and training program held by the Preparatory Office of Cultural Heritage Administration National Center for Traditional Arts. Cultural Heritage Award winner Jung-lieh Lee relentlessly passed down the skills, that help Chia-Chen HSIEH in her creative path. Her works were widely recognized in domestic awards.

Chia-Chen HSIEH was selected to enter various residencies of Zhongxing New Village and Sunny Hills Villagers Fair in Nantou, Willow River creative hub in Taichung and the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung. Apart from selling handmade products, she offered on-site bamboo weaving DIY sessions to promote bamboo art. In 2015, she set up her own working studio and now she teaches and works with the bamboo material.

謝佳珍
1986年臺灣師範大學美術系

1986年臺灣師範大學美術系畢業後,於國 中任教視覺藝術課程27年。1999年參加國立傳統 藝術中心籌備處辦理的「薪傳獎藝師李榮烈竹編 傳習班」,習得竹編技藝。創作之作品在國內各 競賽與美展中,屢獲佳績。 曾進駐中興新村、台中花樣柳川創意屯、微 熱山丘村民市集與高雄駁二藝術特區,除手創作 品展售外,也提供現場竹編DIY教學,推廣竹 藝。2015年設立「采青話室」個人工作室,專職 竹材創作及竹藝教學。
